Hallelujah, Praise the Lord! Hymn 174 The True Church Is Established played on the Pipe organ at Edinburgh Church in Scotland, UK.
One of the World Delegates Conference was held in Edinburgh Church almost 30 years ago. I remembered I played the organ during the opening ceremony for hymn nos. 1 Holy, Holy, Holy and 171 The Church Has One Foundation. As there weren’t any pipe organ at True Jesus Church around the world at the time, it must be the first time for most delegates to hear the sound of a pipe organ used during service and worship. From a moderate volume start to a powerful majestic full organ for the last verse that everyone can feel the mighty force of the king of instruments.
Sadly, the organ has not been tuned and used for over ten years, quite a lot of notes are either out of tune, or not worked at all. Only the upper manual of the organ is working. The hymn is transposed to A major in order for most notes to be sounded and balanced. Foot pedal only worked for tonic, subdominant and dominant .
