449. And Can It Be That I Should Gain? 何能如此
God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Have we constantly reminded ourselves that who are we that our dearest Lord Jesus was willing to die for us. We should never forget such wonderful and amazing love that He has shown to us. Let us arise and do more good work, preach the salvation perfect gospel to all mankind.
And can it be that I should gain
An int’rest in the Saviour’s blood?
Died He for me, who caused His pain?
For me, who Him to death pursued?
Amazing love! How can it be
That Thou, my God, shouldst die for me?
