Hallelujah! After the first recording with my son hymn 300 Wedding Bliss, this time is the first with my daughter Jemima. Looking back, God’s way is the best way, He guided Jemima to her study in university as well as finding a job before her graduation. He is with us all the time, guiding and blessing.

This was the first proper recording of a piano duet with Jemima last weekend. I sincerely hope that more members from our church can also get together, enjoy and have fun in praising our heavenly Father with twenty fingers. May all glory, honour and praise be to our mighty God.

Thank the Lord, did another recording with Candice. Piano Duet Hymn 353 – Beneath the Cross of Jesus

Our Lord Jesus gave His own life for us all. Through His sacrifice, our sin are redeemed, we have a new hope. We should constantly stand beneath His cross to ponder and meditate His great love and mercy towards us. Know how to rely on Jesus and be victorious in spiritual battle. By His strong hand, He shall lead us to the promised eternal kingdom.

Thank the Lord, did another new recording with Candice. Piano Duet Hymn 172 – Ye Shall Be Victorious

The Lord said to Joshua, “Do not fear them, for I have delivered them into your hand; not a man of them shall stand before you.” (Joshua 10:8)

Praise the Lord! He is with us all the time, helping us to overcome our weaknesses. Only be courageous like Joshua, put on our full spiritual armour. Our Lord Jesus will march with us and never leave us. By His mercy and love, we shall conquer and win the battle. And by His strong hand, He shall lead us to the promised eternal kingdom.

Thank the Lord, did a new recording with Erin. Piano Duet Hymn 349 – The Saviour Is Waiting by Ralph Carmichael

This hymn has only two verses, calm and lyrical, reminding everyone that our Lord Jesus is waiting for us all to receive Him into our hearts. Erin has also helped to recorded the same hymn for “Easy” and “Really Easy” piano. May all glory and praise be unto our heavenly Father.

Thank the Lord, did a new recording with Alex. Hymn 8 – Sing Praises to God. “Speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord.” (Eph 5:19)

Though one of the shortest hymn in our hymn book, this hymn is grand, powerful and mejestic, calling everyone, young and old to sing praises from our heart to our Lord. May all glory and praise be unto our heavenly Father.

Thank the Lord, did a new recording with Andrew yesterday. Hymn 288 – Work for the Night Is Coming by Lowell Mason.  “I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work” (John 9:4). Let us all rise up and do the work of the Lord while there is still time.

This hymn is full of vitality, calling everyone, young and old to arise and do the mighty work of God. May all glory and praise be unto our heavenly Father.

Praise the Lord! Last time, Alex played the duet version of “Count Your Blessings” with me. This time she played the “Easy” and “Really Easy” versions of the same hymn. All the three versions have a jolly happy character, recalling all the belssings we received from the Lord. Whether ups or downs in life, our Lord Jesus is always there to help and guide. We therefore really have to constantly reflect and give thanks to our heavenly Father for all these wonderful blessings.

Praise the Lord! Erin helped to record two verions of hymn 349 – The Saviour Is Waiting by Ralph Carmichael. Both verions of the right hand are exactly the same, only left hand has a few more notes and leaps for the Easy compare to the Really Easy version. Not difficult at all for those members who have just started and learnt piano even only for a short time. Hopefully this will encourage more youngster to learn our hymns and use their fingers to praise our heavenly Father. May all glory and praises unto His name.

Praise the Lord! Yien helped to record playing of hymn 82 – Have Oil in Your Vessels by Ira D. Sanke. Left hand is quite easy with only four chords. Not too difficult for those members who have just started and learnt piano for a short time. Hopefully this will encourage more youngster to learn our hymns and use their fingers to praise our heavenly Father. May all glory and praises unto His name.

Praise the Lord! Recorded Lois playing hymn 369 – At Calvary by Daniel B. Towner. For the Easy Piano Series, these arrangements have more notes to mastered. This hymn in particular, lots of dotted rhythm for the right hand melody to contrast left hand staccato accompaniment. A good practice for hands coordination. Suitable for learners who can already or about to start grade 3 pieces. Hopefully this will encourage more youngster to learn our hymns and use their fingers to praise our heavenly Father.
