New Choral Series No. 2

The second in the New Choral Series entitled “Sing Praises to God”. One of the shortest hymns in our hymn book, just slightly over a minute. This majestic and joyous little piece encourages us to give praise and lift our thankful voice to our Heavenly Father. A great choice when you are looking for a short piece to fill up the time for presentation indeed.

May the Lord Jesus continue to guide the music ministry of our church. All glory and praises be to our heavenly Father.

No.2 > Sing Praises to God 當向神歌頌

SATB Choir and four hands piano

Music: A collection of Hymns and Sacred Poems, 1749

Lyrics: The Psalter, 1912

New Choral Series

For the past few years, I have arranged many piano duets. They are not only fun to play, but require skill to play in time with either a real or virtual partner. As each hymn covers wider compass on the keyboard with four hands, it naturally sounds fuller and richer in tone quality. These piano duets can also be excellent material to use as piano accompaniment for singing and choir presentation.

The New Choral Series will use these piano duets as the backbone for accompaniment and create vocal parts by mapping on top. Available in both English and Chinese.

May the Lord Jesus continue to guide the music ministry of our church.

All glory and praises be to our heavenly Father.

No. 1 > All Hail the Power of Jesus’s Name [Honour the Lord as King] 尊主為王

SATB Choir and four hands piano
Music: James Ellor
Lyrics: Edward Perronet

Piano Solo Series – Book 5 Review

Hymn 294 – I Hear Thy Welcome Voice

Lord Jesus died on Calvary for us. His precious blood cleansed us so that we can be spotless and pure – the greatest gift and grace bestow upon us all.

Let us cleanse our hands and purify our hearts. Pursue perfect faith, love, hope, peace and trust. Draw near to God and He will draw near to us.
